Micro Laser Peel

“The Weekend Skin Rejuvenation Treatment” is an intra-epidermal laser peel that precisely ablates the outermost layers of the skin. Generally, microdermabrasion only removes the stratum corneum (2-4 microns). The MicroLaserPeel is a partial to full epidermal peel ( 4-20-50 or more microns) effectively treating wrinkles, scars, acne scars, keratosis, or pigmentary problems.

Additionally, our Sciton computer controlled scanner is able to deliver a precision scan without over or undertreated spots that can occur when done by the more common practice of manual scanning.

What are the benefits of a MicroLaserpeel?

  • a more youthful look
  • improved skin texture
  • improved elasticity
  • improved appearance of acne scars
  • safe, reliable outpatient procedures
  • can be performed with local or topical anesthesia
  • fewer unwanted side effects and complications
  • can be used on the neck, hands and chest
  • healing is more rapid

Who are the best candidates for a Microlaserpeel?
Anyone wishing to reduce or delay the signs of aging, postpone more aggressive surgical treatments or prolong the results of previous treatments can benefit from a Microlaserpeel. Even patients with pigmentation and scars can benefit from Microlaserpeels.

How many Microlaserpeels will I need?
The treatment plan for every patient is different. Some patients prefer additional peels spaced at 6 month intervals.

What about recovery?
A Microlaserpeel results in much less post-operative redness, less swelling and provides a more rapid healing compared to other skin resurfacing methods. The skin is healed in 3-4 days, depending on the depth of the peel and in most cases patients are fully recovered and back to normal within 5 days. Post-operatively, the treated area will resemble a sunburn for about 3 days. Sunblock should be applied when in the sun.
